Sensex up 53pts, Infosys gains 2%

The Sensex has moved up 53 points to 8,545.

Infosys has gained 2.2% (Rs 57) to Rs 2,626. Satyam is steady at  Rs 598 - up Rs 15. TCS is up Rs 13 at Rs 1,459, and Wipro has added Rs 9 to Rs 397.

HLL has moved up 1.8% (Rs 3) to Rs 183. ITC is up 2.7% (Rs 3) at Rs 130.

ONGC has dropped Rs 10 at Rs 1,037. Reliance is down a rupee at Rs 788. SBI is down Rs 3  at Rs 913.

Bharti has added over 2% (Rs 8) to Rs 351. Dr. Reddy's is still up 1.5% (Rs 14) at Rs 959. Hero Honda has gained Rs 13 to Rs 745. ICICI Bank is up Rs 9 at Rs 540.

Ranbaxy has slipped 3% (Rs 15) to Rs 510. Cipla, Grasim, Hindalco and Tata Steel are also trading with losses.

Engineers India has gained 7% (Rs 43) to Rs 667. Dredging Corporation, Concor and HMT are also trading with gains.

Declines are still ahead of advances - out of 2,384 scrips traded, 1,532 have declined, 788 have moved up and 64 are unchanged.
