Sensex up 53pts; Wipro, Grasim rule firm

The Sensex is now up 53 points at 10,913.

Wipro is up 2.8% at Rs 535. Grasim has rallied 2.3% to Rs 1,969.

Hindalco has added 1.8% to Rs 162. Cipla and Infosys have moved up 1.6% each to Rs 589 and Rs 2,922, respectively.

TCS has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,887.

Gujarat Ambuja, ITC, Hero Honda and SBI have spurted over 1% each to Rs 99, Rs 178, Rs 910 and Rs 971, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's (Rs 1,361) and Tata Steel (Rs 466) are up almost 1% each.

The market breath is fairly negative. Out of 2,533 stocks traded so far, 1,345 have declined, 1,106 have advanced and 82 are unchanged.
