Sensex up 55pts, HDFC Bank gains 3.5%

The Sensex has moved up 55 points to 8,436.

SBI has gained 1.4% (Rs 12) to Rs 913. ITC is steady at Rs 1,922 - up Rs 44. Reliance is still down Rs 3 at Rs 761.

HDFC Bank has advanced 3.5% (Rs 24) to Rs 713. ICICI Bank is up Rs 9 at Rs 552.

Dr. Reddy's is still up 1.4% (Rs 11) at Rs 813. Cipla and Ranbaxy are also in positive zones.

Bajaj is up Rs 16 at Rs 1,662. Hero Honda, Maruti and Tata Motors are also trading with gains.
