Sensex up 55pts; Hindustan Unilever up 3%

The Sensex is now up 55 points at 14,923.

Ambuja Cements and Hindustan Unilever have soared 2.7% each to Rs 130 and Rs 201, respectively.

Tata Motors and HDFC have rallied around 2% each to Rs 683 and Rs 1,985, respectively.

NTPC and Tata Steel has surged 1.8% each to Rs 168 and Rs 647, respectively.

ACC, Cipla and Maruti have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,016, Rs 187 and Rs 822, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and BHEL have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 680 and Rs 1,717, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's is up 1% at Rs 639.

Out of 2,488 stocks traded so far, 1,742 have advanced, 680 have declined and 66 are unchanged.
