Sensex up 55pts; Tata Motors gains 2%

The Sensex opened a tad (five points) lower at 10,747. The index touched a low of 10,730, and rebounded into the positive zone. The index touched a high of 10,811, and is now up 55 points at 10,807.

The index is now up 24 points at 10,776.

Tata Motors has moved up 1.6% to Rs 744. BHEL and Dr.Reddy's have gained 1.3% each at Rs 2,132 and Rs 1,408, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja, ACC and HLL are up 1% each at Rs 104, Rs 862 and Rs 231, respectively.

Wipro has slipped 1% to Rs 491.
