Sensex up 56pts; RIL, Satyam, TCS lead

The Sensex is now up 56 points at 11,607.

Reliance, Satyam and TCS have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,105, Rs 788 and Rs 969, respectively.

Reliance Communications has spurted 1.3% to Rs 319. Cipla, ACC and Infosys have gained over 1% each at Rs 248, Rs 915 and Rs 1,754, respectively.

Maruti, Hero Honda and Reliance Energy are the other significant gainers.

Hindalco has shed 2.5% to Rs 170. Tata Steel has slipped over 1% to Rs 491.

ICICI Bank and NTPC are the other notable losers.
