Sensex up 56pts; Satyam spurts 2.5%

The Sensex touched a high of 11,995, and a low of 11,933. The index is now up 56 points at 11,950.

Satyam has surged 2.5% to Rs 824. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja have added 1.5% each to Rs 2,361 and Rs 115, respectively.

Ranbaxy, TCS and ICICI Bank have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 418, Rs 1,011 and Rs 639, respectively.

Tata Steel, Dr.Reddy's and Wipro are up 1% each at Rs 508, Rs 745 and Rs 517, respectively.

Hero Honda and Reliance Communications have slipped 1% each to Rs 770 and Rs 321, respectively.
