Sensex up 57pts; REL, HLL gain

The Sensex is now up 57 points at 12,844.

Tata Steel has soared 5% to Rs 460. Reliance Energy has surged 2.5% to Rs 500, and HLL has moved up 1.8% to Rs 201.

ACC and Tata Motors have gained around 1.5% each to Rs 725 and Rs 691, respectively. Grasim has moved up 1.3% to Rs 2,091.

Hindalco, Cipla, HDFC and SBI are up over 1% each at Rs 132, Rs 232, Rs 1,515 and Rs 946, respectively.

Out of 2,148 stocks traded so far, 1,358 have advanced, 719 have declined and 71 are unchanged.
