Sensex up 585pts; Hind Unilever, ONGC surge

The Sensex is now up 585 points to 17,534.

The NSE Nifty has rallied 176 points to 5,105.

DLF has zoomed 7% to Rs 872. BHEL, Hindalco and Hindustan Unilever have soared over 6% each to Rs 2,107, Rs 159 and Rs 205, respectively.

ONGC has surged 5% to Rs 991. Reliance, Reliance Communications, Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank have rallied around 4.5% each to Rs 2,498, Rs 584, Rs 3,425 and Rs 1,531, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced over 4% to Rs 602. ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy have gained 3.7% each at Rs 1,140 and Rs 1,615, respectively.

NTPC has moved up 3.4% to Rs 194. Bharti Airtel and Tata Motors are up around 3% each at Rs 885 and Rs 735, respectively.
