Sensex up 586pts; breadth firm

The Sensex is now up 586 points at 19,748.

Wipro has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 529. Infosys has surged 5.5% to Rs 1,792. TCS and Satyam have gained 5% each at Rs 1,099 and Rs 449, respectively.

HDFC has soared 6.3% to Rs 2,896. Tata Steel and ONGC have rallied 4.6% each to Rs 864 and Rs 1,245, respectively.

ICICI Bank and BHEL have advanced 4.3% each to Rs 1,207 and Rs 2,470, respectively. Reliance Energy has added nearly 4% to Rs 2,015.

Bharti Airtel has moved up 3.5% to Rs 947, and Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 3.3% to Rs 811.

Out of 2,889 stocks traded so far, 2,008 have advanced, 836 have declined and 45 are unchanged.
