Sensex up 58pts; BHEL surges 4%

The Sensex is now up 58 points at 10,675.

BHEL has surged 4% to Rs 1,933. HDFC has advanced 3.5% to Rs 1,173.

Maruti and Dr.Reddy's have rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 787 and Rs 1,361, respectively. ONGC has moved up 2.5% to Rs 1,167.

Grasim has gained 2% at Rs 2,066. Bharti Airtel, Wipro, HLL and Larsen & Toubro are up 1.7% each at Rs 389, Rs 484, Rs 245 and Rs 2,187, respectively.

Reliance Communications has slipped 2% to Rs 252. SBI has shed 1.4% to Rs 744.

Ranbaxy, Tata Steel and Gujarat Ambuja are down nearly 1% each at Rs 368, Rs 492 and Rs 104, respectively.

Out of 2,390 stocks traded so far, 1,381 have advanced, 924 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
