Sensex up 58pts; Hind Unilever gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 58 points at 18,211.

The NSE Nifty is up 42 points at 5,316.

Hindustan Unilever, Cipla and Grasim have soared 3.3% each to Rs 206, Rs 191 and Rs 3,043, respectively.

Infosys, HDFC and ITC have surged 3% each to Rs 1,492, Rs 2,867 and Rs 202, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 2.7% to Rs 705. Wipro and Tata Steel have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 416 and Rs 715, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Ambuja Cements and ONGC have gained around 2% each at Rs 358, Rs 117 and Rs 1,020, respectively.

Reliance Energy has moved up 1.6% to Rs 2,132. TCS and Satyam are up 1.3% each at Rs 865 and Rs 403, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has plunged 4% to Rs 2,360. ICICI Bank has dropped 3.5% to Rs 1,230.

SBI has slipped 2% to Rs 2,260. BHEL, Larsen & Toubro and DLF have declined 1.5% each to Rs 2,060, Rs 3,789 and Rs 880, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank are down 1.3% each at Rs 858 and Rs 1,565, respectively.

Out of 2,744 stocks traded so far, 1,373 have advanced, 1,321 have declined and 50 are unchanged.
