Sensex up 59pts; Bharti up 3%

The Sensex is now trading 59 points higher at 16,960.

The Nifty is trading 6 points higher at 5032.

Bharti is up 3% to Rs 842 and HDFC has gained 2.4% at Rs 2,688 .

HDFC Bank has advanced 1.3 % to Rs1,397. RComm and Reliance Infra are up 1% to Rs 590 and Rs 1,337 respectively.

Infosys, Cipla,  Jaiprakash Associates, ITC, Satyam, SBI and TCS are trading over 0.5%. 

Tata Motors is down 1.9% to Rs 649. Hindalco has lost 1.5% to Rs 194.

Maruti and ONGC have slipped 1% to Rs 795 and Rs 914 respectively. Ambuja Cements and Tata Steel is down 0.9% at Rs103 and Rs 900 respectively.

ICICI Bank, ACC, NTPC, L&Tand M&M are the other major losers.
