Sensex up 59pts; Hindalco soars 3%

The Sensex is now up 59 points at 15,675.

Hindalco has soared 3.3% to Rs 160. ONGC has surged 2.4% to Rs 857, and NTPC has gained 2.2% at Rs 190.

ITC has moved up 1.7% to Rs 178. Reliance Communications has advanced 1.4% to Rs 547.

Tata Steel and SBI are up over 1% each at Rs 700 and Rs 1,648, respectively.

Cipla and Wipro have slipped 1% each to Rs 183 and Rs 473, respectively.

Out of 2,543 stocks traded so far, 1,595 have advanced, 874 have declined and 74 are unchanged.
