Sensex up 59pts; ICICI Bank, ONGC gain 4%

The Sensex is now up 59 points at 12,572.

ONGC has surged 3.8% to Rs 1,494. Tata Power has rallied 3.4% to Rs 585.

ICICI Bank has advanced 3.7% to Rs 663. SBI has added 2.6% to Rs 1,000, and HDFC Bank has gained nearly 2% at Rs 870.

Hindalco has soared 2.3% to Rs 235, and Tata Steel has moved up 1.8% to Rs 672. Larsen & Toubro is up 1% at Rs 2,800.

ACC and Grasim have shed 2.6% each to Rs 975 and Rs 2,370, respectively. Gujarat Ambuja has dropped 2.5% to Rs 117.

Dr.Reddy's has slipped 1.3% to Rs 1,623. Reliance, Tata Motors and Satyam have declined over 1% each to Rs 1,141, Rs 974 and Rs 781, respectively.

Out of 2,623 stocks traded so far, 1,688 have advanced, 880 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
