Sensex up 5pts; ACC soars 5%

The Sensex is now up five points at 14,811.

ACC has soared over 5% to Rs 987. Ambuja Cements has surged 3.5% to Rs 129. Grasim has gained nearly 1% at Rs 2,725.

Cipla has rallied over 2% to Rs 218. Tata Motors has spurted over 1% to Rs 697. Reliance has moved up 1% to Rs 1,722.

ONGC has dropped 1.5% to Rs 875. BHEL has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,529.

Wipro, SBI and Ranbaxy are the other major losers.

Out of 2,545 stocks traded so far, 1,413 have declined, 1,064 have advanced and 68 are unchanged.
