Sensex up 6 pts; Infosys, ITC, SBI gain

The Sensex is moving in a range-bound mode, and is now up six points at 6,223. The Nifty, however, is down four points at 1,951.

Infosys is up 1.21% (Rs 24) at Rs 1,989. While ITC is trading firm with a gain of 1.33% (Rs 17) at Rs 1,258, SBI has bounced back into the green with a per cent gain (Rs 4) at Rs 597.

While Wipro is trading weaker by Rs 6 at Rs 663, Satyam is down a rupee at Rs 369.

Reliance (down Rs 2 to Rs 518) is still lacklustre. HLL is still trading on a flat note at Rs 140.

HDFC Bank has logged 3% gains (Rs 15) to Rs 515, and ICICI Bank is up a rupee at Rs 355.

Gujarat Ambuja has added nearly 2.38% (Rs 10) to Rs 435. While ACC is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 354, Grasim is up a rupee at Rs 1,284.

Cipla has added 2% (Rs 5) to Rs 270. While Ranbaxy is up a rupee at Rs 1,071, Dr. Reddy's is trading lower by Rs 4 at Rs 745.

Bharti has gained nearly 3% (Rs 6) to Rs 214.

Hero Honda (down Rs 33 or 5.94% to Rs 524), Bajaj (down Rs 26 or 2.36% to Rs 1,086), Maruti (down Rs 15 or 3.36% to Rs 423) and Tata Motors (down Rs 5 to Rs 483) continue to languish in negative territories.

While ONGC is down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 784, HPCL has lost 2% (Rs 7) to Rs 354. Tata Power has declined 2.46% (Rs 9) to Rs 349.
