HDFC has surged over 13% to Rs 1,702. Tata Power and Reliance have rallied over 12% each to Rs 693 and Rs 1,351, respectively.
Sterlite has moved up 10.7% to Rs 273. Tata Steel has gained over 10% at Rs 206.
ICICI Bank and Hindalco have advanced 9.5% each to Rs 379 and Rs 58, respectively. BHEL has added 7.3% to Rs 1,265.
Wipro and Hindustan Unilever are up over 6.5% each to Rs 274 and Rs 222, respectively.
ONGC has plunged 4% to Rs 624, and Ranbaxy has shed 3.3% at Rs 167.
Out of 2,521 stocks traded so far, 1,445 have advanced, 994 have declined and 82 are unchanged.
