Sensex up 60pts; Rel Energy 5%

The Sensex is now up 60 pooints at 16,383.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 5% to Rs 993. Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro have soared around 3% each to Rs 765 and Rs 2,744, respectively.

ITC has gained 2.3% at Rs 191. Hindalco and Grasim have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 162 and Rs 3,375, respectively.

Tata Motors and BHEL are up 1% each at Rs 731 and Rs 1,948, respectively.

Infosys and Wipro have tumbled around 3% each to Rs 1,798 and Rs 434, respectively. TCS and Satyam have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,001 and Rs 420, respectively.

Ranbaxy has shed 2.5% to Rs 402. Maurti and Hindustan Unilever has slipped 1.5% each to Rs 910 and Rs 214, respectively.

Out of 2,829 stocks traded so far, 1,571 have declined, 1,194 have advanced and 64 are unchanged.
