Sensex up 61 pts; HDFC Bank gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 61 points at 17,415.

The NSE Nifty is up 31 points at 5,146.

HDFC Bank has gained 3% to Rs 1,520.

HUL is up 2.3% at Rs 244. L&T has gained 2% to Rs 3,024.

Satyam and Jaiprakash Associates are up over 1.5% to Rs 493 and Rs 270 respectively.

DLF, Reliance Communications and SBI have surged over 1% to Rs 654, Rs 595 and Rs 1,699 respectively.

SBI, Reliance Infra, M&M, Ranbaxy, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank have gained half per cent each.

HDFC is down 1.2% at Rs 2,759.

Ambuja Cements and Hindalco is down 1% to Rs 202 and Rs 111 respectively. Infosys and Maruti is down half per cent each at Rs 1,877 and Rs 817 respectively.
