Sensex up 61pts; ACC, ONGC gain 2%

The Sensex is now up 61 points at 13,443.

ACC and ONGC have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,039 and Rs 863, respectively.

Tata Steel has surged nearly 2% to Rs 463. Bharti Airtel, Cipla and ITC have gained around 1.5% each to Rs 614, Rs 245 and Rs 171, respectively.

Infosys and Reliance Communications are also smartly up.

HDFC Bank, Gujarat Ambuja and Dr.Reddy's have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,025, Rs 134 and Rs 792, respectively.

The market breadth has turned positive - out of 2,437 stocks traded so far, 1,249 have advanced, 1,107 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
