Sensex up 61pts in early trades

The Sensex today opened with a negative gap of 73 points at 13,664 amid mixed cues from the global markets.

The index has rebounded and is now up 61 points at 13,798.

Ranbaxy has gained 3% at Rs 231. DLF and HDFC have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 348 and Rs 2,130, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, Jaiprakash Associates, NTPC and Larsen & Toubro have addd 1% each.

Meanwhile, ONGC and Grasim have shed 2% each at Rs 1,050 and Rs 2,155, respectively.

Maruti Suzuki, Sun Pharma, Wipro, TCS, Sterlite, Tata Power, Mahindra & Mahindra and ICICI Bank have dropped around 1% each.
