Sensex up 63 points

The Sensex is now up 63 points at 9386. The Nifty is up 13 points to 2835.

Among other stocks Apollo Hospitals at Rs 496 and Thermax at Rs 955 have surged over 4% each. Rolta, Polaris, GTL, Century Enka, D-Link India, Tata Chemicals, Union Bank, Alstom Project, Oriental Bank, Reliance Capital and Jindal Saw Pipes have gained 3-4% each.

Fertilisers & Chemicals, Balaji Telefilms, Container Corporation, United Phosphorous, Federal Bank, BEML, VisualSoft, National Fertilisers and Hexaware are down 1-2% each.

Reliance Industries leads the chart with a volume of 10.45 lakh shares on the BSE followed by Reliance Capital at 9.55 lakh shares and ITC with 8.15 lakh shares.
