Sensex up 63pts; Hindalco gains 4%

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 63 points at 17,680.

The NSE Nifty is up 24 points at 5,178.

Satyam has zoomed 8% to Rs 456. Wipro has soared 4.5% to Rs 430. TCS and Infosys have surged nearly 3.5% each to Rs 915 and Rs 1,621, respectively.

Hindalco has rallied 4.3% to Rs 184, and Tata Steel has gained 3.3% at Rs 798.

Ambuja Cements and Hindustan Unilever has advanced over 3% each to Rs 120 and Rs 220, respectively. Bajaj Auto has added 2.5% to Rs 2,400.

DLF has moved up 1.7% to Rs 829. Cipla and ACC are up 1.3% each at Rs 188 and Rs 776, respectively.

HDFC has plunged nearly 4% to Rs 2,648. ICICI Bank, BHEL and SBI have slipped around 2% each to Rs 1,142, Rs 2,084 and Rs 2,163, respectively.

Out of 2,756 stocks traded so far, 1,336 have declined, 1,342 have advanced and 78 are unchanged.
