Sensex up 63pts; Maruti gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 63 points at 12,282.

Satyam and Bharti Tele have surged 2.5% each to Rs 771 and Rs 419, respectively.

Maruti has rallied 2% to Rs 961, and Hero Honda has gained 1.7% at Rs 845.

HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 867.

Hindalco has dropped over 2% to Rs 231. Grasim, Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have shed 1.6% each to Rs 2,430, Rs 1,655 and Rs 1,285, respectively.

Out of 2,481 stocks traded so far, 1,379 have advanced, 1,030 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
