Sensex up 63pts; NTPC soars 5%

The Sensex is now up 63 points at 13,766.

NTPC has soared 4.7% (Rs 7) to Rs 157. Bharti Airtel has rallied 2% to Rs 629.

ITC, Hindalco and Larsen & Toubro are up over 1% each at Rs 182, Rs 1,400 and Rs 180, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Wipro are down 1% each to Rs 748 and Rs 585, respectively.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,126 stocks traded so far, 1,355 have advanced, 704 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
