Sensex up 64pts; ITC gains 2%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 71 points at 15,668. The index touched a high of 15,690, and is now up 64 points at 15,661.

ITC has surged nearly 2% to Rs 188. Cipla has gained 1.3% at Rs 181.

HDFC and Larsen & Toubro have advanced over 1% each to Rs 2,128 and Rs 2,605, respectively.
