Sensex up 65pts; breadth remains positive

The Sensex is now up 65 points of 12,431.

NTPC and HDFC have surged over 2% each to Rs 133 and Rs 1,422, respectively.

Maruti and Dr.Reddy's have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 957 and Rs 719, respectively.

Grasim, ACC and Ranbaxy have added 1.3% each to Rs 2,591, Rs 993 and Rs 425, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Cipla, Wipro and Tata Motors are up 1% each.

HLL has slipped 1% to Rs 241. ICICI Bank and Bajaj Auto are the other notable losers.

Out of 2,506 stocks traded so far, 1,699 have advanced, 732 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
