Sensex up 65pts; Cipla sheds 4%

The Sensex is now up 65 points at 15,630.

Hindustan Unilever has soared 3.7% to Rs 201. Larsen & Toubro and BHEL have surged around 3.5% each to Rs 2,558 and Rs 1,705, respectively.

Reliance Energy has rallied 2.4% to Rs 705. Bajaj Auto and Satyam have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 2,362 and Rs 485, respectively.

ONGC, NTPC and Hindalco are the other prominent gainers.

Cipla has plunged 4% to Rs 193. Infosys has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,942.

Ambuja Cements has shed 1.5% to Rs 134. ICICI Bank is down over 1% at Rs 973.

Out of 2,507 stocks traded so far, 1,325 have advanced, 1,115 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
