Sensex up 66pts; HDFC advances 2%

The Sensex is now up 66 points at 14,468.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 790 and Rs 502, respectively.

HDFC has moved up 1.8% to Rs 1,775. Bajaj Auto has advancede 1.5% to Rs 2,818.

Tata Steel, SBI and Reliance Energy are up 1.3% each at Rs 469, Rs 1,197 and Rs 541, respectively.

Hindalco has shed 2.5% to Rs 178. Wipro, Grasim and Cipla are down around 1% each at Rs 636, Rs 2,785 and Rs 247, respectively.

Out of 2,494 stocks traded so far, 1,504 have advanced, 930 have declined and 60 are unchanged.
