Sensex up 66pts; HLL surges 4%

The Sensex scaled a new life-time intra-day high of 10,192, but has now pared some gains, and is now up 66 points at 10,152.

HLL has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 233. Bajaj Auto has zoomed 3.6% to Rs 2,384.

NTPC has spurted 2.4% to Rs 121. Cipla, ITC, Bharti are up 1.5% each at Rs 548, Rs 166 and Rs 372, respectively.

ICICI Bank (Rs 603), Hindalco (Rs 160), Tata Power (Rs 499) and Maruti (Rs 778) have added 1% each.

Dr.Reddy's has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,155.

The market breadth is extrmely positive with nearly 67% of the traded stocks so far moving up - Out of 1,959 stocks traded so far, 1,307 have advanced, 604 have declined and 48 are unchanged.
