Sensex up 67pts; HDFC drops 2%

The Sensex is now up 67 points 14,285.

ICICI Bank and SBI have surged around 2% each to Rs 984 and Rs 1,161, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and HLL have rallied 1.4% each to Rs 1,712 and Rs 214, respectively.

Grasim, Dr.Reddy's, Reliance and TCS are up around 1% each at Rs 2,472, Rs 720, Rs 1,617 and Rs 1,232, respectively.

Hero Honda has shed 2.7% to Rs 669. HDFC has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,712.

Gujarat Ambuja and Satyam are down over 1% each at Rs 119 and Rs 461, respectively.

Out of 2,542 stocks traded so far, 1,318 have declined, 1,144 have advanced and 80 are unchanged.
