The Nifty is now trading at 4936, up 18 points.
Cipla is up 4.5% at Rs 217. RCom has gained 4.2% to Rs 574. Satyam is up 2.7% at Rs 528. Ranbaxy has advanced 2.3% at Rs 507. Jaiprakash and Wipro have surged 2% at Rs 233 and Rs 516 respectively.
Tata Steel is up 1.6% at Rs 917. L&T, TCS, ONGC, Reliance Infra, HDFC Bank and HDFC are the other gainers.
Tata Motors has lost 6.6% to Rs 593. Ambuja Cements slipped 2.6% at Rs 101.
Mahindra & Mahindra is down 2% to Rs 628. SBI and Maruti have declined 1.8% at Rs 1,491 and Rs 763. ICICI Bank is down 1.6% at Rs 806.
HUL, Hindalco, Infosys, ITC, Grasim, NTPC, HDFC, Reliance, DLF and Bhel are the other losers.
