Sensex up 68pts; breadth firm

The Sensex is now up 68 points at 14,287.

Satyam has surged 2.5% to Rs 468, and Infosys has rallied 2% to Rs 1,976.

Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Communications have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 724, Rs 1,730 and Rs 502, respectively.

Wipro has gained 1.4% at Rs 539, and HDFC has added 1.3% to Rs 1,777. HLL is up nearly 1% at Rs 203.

Gujarat Ambuja, HDFC Bank and Tata Steel have shed around 1.5% each to Rs 113, Rs 1,072 and Rs 622, respectively.

Out of 2,615 stocks traded so far, 1,380 have advanced, 1,149 have declined and 86 are unchanged.
