Sensex up 68pts; ICICI, HDFC Bank down 2%

The Sensex is now up 68 points at 19,766.

Bajaj Auto has zoomed 4% to Rs 2,441. Cipla and ACC have soared 3.7% each to Rs 187 and Rs 1,078, respectively.

ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra have surged 2.3% each to Rs 1,275 and Rs 750, respectively.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Hindustan Unilever have rallied 2% each to Rs 861, Rs 712 and Rs 205, respectively.

DLF has moved up 1.7% to Rs 953, and Grasim has gained 1.5% at Rs 3,889.

Ranbaxy, Reliance Communications and Reliance Energy are up 1.3% each at Rs 417, Rs 717 and Rs 1,849, respectively.

HDFC Bank has plunged 2% to Rs 1,655, and ICICI Bank has dropped 1.7% to Rs 1,198. ITC is down over 1% at Rs 203.

Out of 2,815 stocks traded so far, 2,273 have advanced, 512 have declined and 30 are unchanged.
