Sensex up 68pts, ONGC drops 3%

The Sensex touched a high of 10,052 - up 208 points from the day's low of 9844. The index is now up 68 points at 10,025.

Larsen & Toubro has surged over 3% to Rs 2,199. Grasim has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,738.

TCS and Bajaj Auto have advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,777 and Rs 2,660, respectively.

Maruti has gained nearly 2% at Rs 745. ACC, BHEL and Reliance Energy are up 1.5% each at Rs 738, Rs 1,895 and Rs 431, respectively.

ITC and Reliance are up over 1% each.

ONGC has shed nearly 3% to Rs 1,011. Dr.Reddy's has slipped 1.8% to Rs 1,247, and Tata Power is down 1% at Rs 465.
