Sensex up 68pts; Satyam gains 4%

The markets are largely unchanged from its mid-morning gains. While buying is seen in tech, banking and pharma stocks, select heavyweights are still witnessing weak trends.

The Sensex is now up 68 points at 6,511. The Nifty is steady at 2,035 - up 20 points.

ONGC has advanced 1.10% (Rs 9) to Rs 860, while Reliance is trading wtih a steady gain of 1.17% (Rs 7) at Rs 567.

Infosys has gained 1.68% (Rs 36) to Rs 2,195. While Satyam is trading 3.57% higher (Rs 14) at Rs 401, Wipro is still up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 651.

HDFC Bank is trading 2.78% higher (Rs 14) at Rs 533. While ICICI Bank is up 1.65% (Rs 6) at Rs 397, SBI is up a per cent (Rs 6) at Rs 672.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.67% (Rs 18) to Rs 1,071. While Dr. Reddy's has gained 1.86% (Rs 14) to Rs 765, Cipla is up Rs 3 at Rs 257.

HDFC at Rs 707 (up Rs 16 or 2.32%), L&T at Rs 988 (up Rs 14 or 1.49%), Tata Power at Rs 348 (up Rs 7 or 2.10%) and Tisco (up Rs 7 or 1.74%) are trading with steady gains.

While ITC has slipped a per cent (Rs 9) to Rs 1,312, HLL is down a notch at Rs 134.

Bajaj has inched lower by 1.38% (Rs 14) to Rs 1,012. While Hero Honda is down a tad at Rs 542, Tata Motors is down Rs 2 at Rs 414. Maruti, however, has gained 1.41% (Rs 6) to Rs 418.

Bharti has lost 1.50% (Rs 3) to Rs 210.
