Sensex up 69pts; Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors shine

Fresh buying in the market has helped the Sensex break-out of its narrow trading band. The index is now up 69 points at 10,821.

NTPC has surged 3.6% to Rs 120. BHEL has advanced over 3% to Rs 2,170.

Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors have gained over 2% each to Rs 2,525 and Rs 750, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Dr.Reddy's, Hindalco and Ranbaxy are up 1.5% each at Rs 264, Rs 1,412, Rs 160 and Rs 376, respectively.

Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have spurted over 1% each to Rs 502 and Rs 2,275, respectively.

Out of 2,381 stocks traded so far, 1,353 have advanced, 951 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
