Sensex up 70pts; Infosys, ITC shine

The Sensex is now up 70 points at 10,486.

Hindalco has gained 2.6% at Rs 162. Tata Motors and Maruti have rallied 2% each to Rs 716 and Rs 755, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Infosys have advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 253 and Rs 1,639, respectively.

Cipla, ITC and Ranbaxy are up 1.5% each at Rs 227, Rs 167 and Rs 362, respectivey.

Bharti Airtel and TCS have gained over 1% each at Rs 374 and Rs 1,868, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped 1.4% to Rs 534.

Out of 2,083 stocks traded so far, 1,372 have advanced, 633 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
