Sensex up 70pts; Satyam soars 3%

The Sensex is now up 70 points at 15,381.

Ambuja Cements has soared 3.3% to Rs 138. Satyam has surged almost 3% to Rs 496, and TCS has rallied 2.7% to Rs 1,158.

Reliance has advanced over 2% to Rs 1,815. ICICI Bank, Infosys, Ranbaxy and ACC are up over 1% each to Rs 982, Rs 1,954, Rs 349 and Rs 1,129, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has shed 2% to Rs 805. HDFC has dropped 1.8% to Rs 1,960.

Reliance Communications and BHEL have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 566 and Rs 1,638, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Cipla, HDFC Bank and SBI are down over 1% each to Rs 2,228, Rs 206, Rs 1,201 and Rs 1,598, respectively.

Out of 2,673 stocks traded so far, 1,421 have declined, 1,186 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
