Sensex up 718pts; all index stocks up

The Sensex is now up 718 points at 17,939.

All index stocks are in positive zone with gains of minimum 2% each.

Reliance Energy and ONGC have zoomed around 9% each to Rs 1,980 and Rs 1,028, respectively.

ICICI Bank has soared 7.7% to Rs 1,220. Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 7% to Rs 670.

Wipro has rallied 6% to Rs 436. Bajaj Auto and Grasim have moved up 5.7% each to Rs 2,230 and Rs 3,060, respectively.

HDFC Bank and BHEL have advanced around 5.5% each to Rs 1,589 and Rs 2,209, respectively.

Tata Motors and NTPC have gained 5% each at Rs 695 and Rs 214, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, HDFC, Hindustan Unilever and ITC are up around 4.5% each at Rs 892, Rs 2,732, Rs 196 and Rs 197, respectively.

SBI, Ranbaxy and Cipla have moved up around 4% each to Rs 2,443, Rs 361 and Rs 182, respectively.
