Sensex up 71pts; auto stocks perk up

The Sensex is now up 71 points at 11,086.

Reliance Energy has gained over 2% at Rs 473.

Auto stocks are witnessing fresh buying. Tata Motors and Hero Honda has advanced nearly 2% each to Rs 780 and Rs 679, respectively. Maruti is up 1% at Rs 794.

ITC has added 1.5% to Rs 175. SBI, Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each at Rs 841, Rs 517 and Rs 409, respectively.

BHEL is down 1.5% at Rs 2,135.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,833 stocks traded so far, 1,226 have advanced, 551 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
