Sensex up 71pts; ICICI Bank rallies 2%

The Sensex is now up 71 points at 14,151.

ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro have rallied 2% each to Rs 936 and Rs 1,965, respectively.

ONGC and Tata Steel have surged 1.7% each to Rs 905 and Rs 599, respectively.

Tata Motors has advanced 1.5% to Rs 655. Reliance, SBI, Grasim, Gujarat Ambuja and HDFC Bank are up around 1% each at Rs 1,692, Rs 1,334, Rs 2,400, Rs 111 and Rs 1,098, respectively.

Infosys and Satyam have slipped 2.3% each to Rs 1,945 and Rs 466, respectively. Wipro has dropped 1.5% to Rs 515, and TCS has shed 1.3% to Rs 1,152.

Hindalco is down 1% at Rs 161.

Out of 2,511 stocks traded so far, 1,228 have advanced, 1,183 have declined and 100 are unchanged.
