Sensex up 71pts; Reliance, TCS up 2%

The Sensex is now up 207 points at 18,255.

The Nifty is up 71 points at 5,348.

ACC has soared 4% to Rs 786, and Ranbaxy has surged nearly 3% to Rs 408.

ONGC has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,045. Reliance and TCS have advanced 2% each to Rs 2,606 and Rs 869, respectively.

Cipla and Tata Motors have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 188 and Rs 745, respectively.

Grasim, Hindalco, ICICI Bank and BHEL have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 2,831, Rs 187, Rs 1,226 and Rs 2,248, respectively.

Out of 2,546 stocks traded so far, 1,837 have advanced, 654 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
