Sensex up 72pts; Ranbaxy gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 72 points at 15,391.

Maruti has surged 3% to Rs 894. Ranbaxy has gained 2% at Rs 399.

HDFC Bank and Dr.Reddy's has advanced around 1.7% each at Rs 1,191 and Rs 651, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Cipla, SBI, Reliance Energy and Satyam are up around 1% each at Rs 896, Rs 170, Rs 1,618, Rs 788 and Rs 452, respectively.

ONGC has shed 1.5% at Rs 845. Bharti Airtel and Grasim are the other prominent losers.
