Sensex up 72pts; Satyam, Rel Comm shine

The Sensex is now up 72 points at 12,144.

Satyam and Reliance Communications have surged over 2.5% each to Rs 845 and Rs 335, respectively.

TCS and Dr.Reddy's have advanced around 2% each to Rs 1,017 and Rs 770, respectively.

Hindalco, NTPC ONGC, Wipro and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 170, Rs 131, Rs 1,169, Rs 519 and Rs 422, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,346.

Out of 2,529 stocks traded so far, 1,321 have advanced, 1,119 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
