Sensex up 73pts; Cipla, ICICI Bank shine

The Sensex is now up 73 points at 11,772.

Cipla and ICICI Bank have advanced over 2% each to Rs 255 and Rs 609, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Bajaj Auto have added 1.4% each to Rs 413 and Rs 2,735, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja, Reliance Energy, Maruti, HLL, Tata Motors and Larsen & Toubro are up around over 1% each.

Hero Honda is down 1% at Rs 714.

The market breadth is positive - out of 1,937 stocks traded so far, 1,113 have advanced, 758 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
