Sensex up 73pts; L&T surges 2%

The Sensex is now up 74 points at 15,773.

Larsen & Toubro has surged 2% to Rs 2,625. Maruti and Satyam have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 822 and Rs 494, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors and Reliance are up over 1% each at Rs 2,385, Rs 735 and Rs 1,924, respectively.

HDFC Bank has shed 2.3% to Rs 1,212. ACC has slipped 1% to Rs 1,060.
