Sensex up 73pts; NTPC gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 73 points at 15,539.

NTPC has surged 1.7% to Rs 185, and ICICI Bank has gained 1.4% at Rs 917.

Cipla, TCS and Grasim have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 182, Rs 1,079 and Rs 3,060, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Ambuja Cements, Wipro and Satyam are up 1% each at Rs 833, Rs 138, Rs 471 and Rs 454, respectively.
