Sensex up 74pts; Guj Ambuja soars 4%

The Sensex is now up 74 points at 12,293.

Gujarat Ambuja has soared over 4% to Rs 127.

Bharti Tele has surged 2.8% to Rs 420, and Satyam has gained 2.3% at Rs 770.

While HDFC Bank has advanced 2.7% to Rs 873, ICICI Bank has added 1.6% to Rs 632.

Maruti has rallied 2% to Rs 960, and Hero Honda has gained 1.7% at Rs 845.

Hindalco has slipped 2.4% to Rs 230. HDFC and Dr.Reddy's are down 1.7% each at Rs 1,284 and Rs 1,654, respectively.

Out of 2,539 stocks traded so far, 1,439 have advanced, 1,020 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
